What makes us different?

The work we put in before we even get to your night means that we leave no stone unturned to ensure everything goes with a bang. We liaise with you to fine tune your playlist, to make sure we know the running order you want for the evening. Even when things look like they are not quite going to plan (a special guest may arrive late, or the food is not ready) our years of experience means we will know how to react seamlessly and cope with any little mishap.

How do I book an event with The Music Factory Disco?

To ensure we can attend your event, firstly contact us to check availability. When we can confirm our availability we will then confirm a price and ask you to complete a booking form. The booking form will layout the fee, what we will do and ask you to provide basic contact details for yourself and the venue.

We ask for a £50 deposit to secure the date.

What type of events will you cover?

There are very few events we will not cover. We specialise in Weddings and Birthday parties, and we would like to think we can provide entertainment for a range of ages and tastes.

What are your terms and conditions?

A full copy of our terms and conditions will be provided with our booking forms, but some key points are as follows

  1. A deposit must be paid to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable should you wish to cancel prior to the event. Should you cancel within 7 days of the event then the full booking fee is payable.
  2. Bookings are subject to a minimum ‘playtime’ of 3 hours for Christenings or any afternoon event (finish prior to 6pm) and 4 hours for any other event.
  3. Your DJ’s will require at least 1 hour to set up the equipment prior to the event, and up to 1 hour after to clear down. Please ensure that this is acceptable with your venue.
  4. The balance should be paid to the DJ’s directly prior to the event. This is usually by cash when they arrive to set up. You can pay by cheque or bank transfer, but funds must be clear before your event begins.

How do I know what I will get with The Music Factory Disco?

It is a natural question to ask we understand. We are pleased to say that so much of our business comes from referrals and repeat bookings. Like any successful business we have to look after our customers.

Our approach is to ensure we do our homework BEFORE we even step foot in the venue on the day of the event. After a booking is made we will liase with you to discuss the timings of the event, to make sure that the structure works in the way you want it to.

The choice of music is so important too. It would be very easy of us just to play the music we like (and believe me we know DJ’s who will) but it is not our night, it is yours!

We are happy for you to give us details on the music you want; it could be just a few songs, just a genre or perhaps a full 4 hour playlist. What is equally as important sometimes are songs you do not want us to play. Some can represent emotional memories and we do not want to spoil anyone’s evening by making an insensitive error like that.

We know we may not be the cheapest DJ team you may find, but we feel our fees represent the effort and experience we bring to your event.

How am I protected with The Music Factory Disco?

We are pleased to confirm that The Music Factory Disco DJ’s are covered with Public Liability Insurance to a £10 million level. Most venues will ask you to ensure your DJ can provide this.

The Music Factory Disco DJ’s are also CRB checked. This is quite unusual for DJ’s, however, we think that if you have children present in particular then this extra security will give more peace of mind for parents.


What happens if The Music Factory Disco lets me down?

The beauty of having a team of DJ’s is that even in the unexpected event of sickness to your DJ we can provide a replacement very easily. Indeed we are very proud to say that in all the years that we have been working that we have never failed to attend any event we have been booked for.

Of course, we also have to consider equipment failure also and we are pleased to say we have this covered too. When we attend any event we ensure we carry spares for all essential equipment such as microphones, amplifiers, mixing decks and laptops. We cannot say that something may not fail but if we need to swap in such an event then normally we are back up and running in a few short minutes.

We do not want the unexpected to spoil your evening.

What equipment do we use?

One key feature of any mobile DJ is the equipment they use.

At The Music Factory Disco we ensure we have enough in terms of PA and lighting to suit any event we may attend. The key for us is to match the venue and the style of event. For example, a birthday party for 40 people will not need a 2KW PA rig, but a School Prom for 300 will.

We carry a range of mixers, matching pairs of mid/top speakers, bass bins sub-woofers, 1000KW-2500KW amplifiers. For lighting, we carry purple, red and green scanning lasers, LED scanners and a full lighting stand. We complement this with haze machines where necessary too.

Our music and karaoke library is kept on hard drives and played through laptops using specialist DJ software.

All equipment is maintained and PAT tested.
