The best Disco songs ever.............................

According to one of the leading producers of all time

The best Disco songs ever……………….

We were having a discussion in The Music Factory Disco office recently and the subject was naming the best Disco tunes ever. Now the Disco genre is one that most people love, and let’s be fair if you want to get the dancefloor full then put a classic Disco tune on is always a safe bet.

The office argument had gone on for a few hours and we then came across this list produced by Billboard magazine. They put the choice in the hands of legendary producer Giorgio Moroder .The Italian producer has had a hand in many hits over the years and therefore is very well placed to give an expert opinion. However looking at his list, as good as it is, you might come to the conclusion that he might be a little biased here and there!

See what you think.

  1. Donna Summer – I feel love
  2. Donna Summer – Love to love you baby
  3. Donna Summer – Last Dance
  4. Donna Summer – Hot Stuff
  5. Donna Summer – Bad Girls
  6. Donna Summer – On the radio
  7. Earth, Wind & Fire featuring The Emotions – Boogie Wonderland
  8. Silver Convention – Fly Robin Fly
  9. Chic – Dance, dance, dance
  10. Supermax – Love machine
  11. Van McCoy – The Hustle
  12. Boney M – Daddy Cool
  13. Silver Convention – Get up and Boogie – That’s right

  17. The O Jays – The Love Train
  18. Sister Sledge – We are family
  19. Barry White – Can’t get enough of your love baby
  20. Gloria Gaynor – Never can say goodbye
  21. Tavares – Heaven can be missing an angel
  22. The Trammps – Disco Inferno
  23. Lipps Inc – Funky town
  24. Bee Gees – Stayin Alive
  25. Bee Gees – Night fever

We think it is pretty clear Giorgio did have a hand in producing many Donna Summer tracks but nonetheless still a pretty impressive list.
